Below is the timeline of events of the Rebel Moon universe, which does not have an official date system at the moment. This universe is not tied to a real-world timeline. For this timeline, dates are based on when events took place in relation to the assassination of the royal family due to its significance in the franchise.

Note that "years" is used as a universal term in the Realm, implied to be the same duration as real-world Earth years. "Seasons" is also a term used to denote the passage of time but may vary from planet to planet. On Veldt, one season was about one year, but on Shasu, 30 seasons of age was when a child would be ready for the space-between renaming ceremony, which equated to an unclear duration of time probably in the 8-12-year range.

Time of the assassination[]

Royal assassination news reaches Shasu

Assassination of the royal family: The king, queen, and Princess Issa of the Motherworld were assassinated, at which point the Imperium was formed to take over where the kingdom left off and the regime became more aggressive under the rule of Regent Balisarius. The royal communications network went dark for one week during this transition. Arthelais, the royal seneschal, having failed her duty to Issa, fled the Motherworld and spent the next three years traveling as far from it as she could.

Battle of Sarawu

Battle of Sarawu: General Titus turned his men on the Motherworld after the assassination. Commanded to gun down the parliament of Sarawu, he refused and fought back against the new Imperium. In response, the Imperium defeated Titus' military force, executed them for treason, and exiled Titus, who would spend his days drinking himself to death on Pollux after that point.

After the assassination[]

3 years after the assassination[]

Kora arrived on Veldt to begin her new life. Gunnar sold his village's surplus grain to the Bloodaxe insurgents.

4 years after the assassination[]

Invasion of Veldt

Invasion of Veldt: The Imperium arrived on Veldt seeking their crops to feed their armies. This triggered the formation of the Veldt resistance. The Imperium planned to return ten weeks later to collect the harvest.[4]

Battle at the unregistered trade depot

Battle at the unregistered trade depot: Tricked by Kai, the budding Veldt resistance was captured by Kai and the Hawkshaws at an unregistered trade depot on a Gondivalian moon. Admiral Atticus Noble arrived to collect them, but they broke free, launching a battle between the three factions. The result was Noble's apparent death with a victory to the resistance, however, Noble would soon be revived by his medical technicians.
