Rebel Moon — Part Two: The Scargiver[2] is the second part of the two-part film directed by Zack Snyder and written by Snyder, Shay Hatten, and Kurt Johnstad. The film was produced by Deborah Snyder, Zack Snyder, and Wesley Coller of The Stone Quarry and Eric Newman of Grand Electric and was released by Netflix on April 19, 2024.
An extended director's cut, Rebel Moon - Chapter Two: Curse of Forgiveness, will be released with about an hour of footage filmed exclusively for the longer version, which will go deeper into the character dynamics and backstories than the casual viewer may be interested in seeing but will provide an extra layer for fans.

Production[]
The bulk of the production details can be found on the page for the first movie, A Child of Fire, due to the shared production schedule. The details on this page specifically refer to those of The Scargiver.
Development[]
On February 3, 2022, Production Weekly confirmed Rebel Moon would be released in two parts, filmed back-to-back from April 18 to November 4 of that year.[3]
After Rebel Moon — Part One: A Child of Fire received an estimated $18,488,000 California Film Commission tax credit with $83 million in approved spending, Part 2 received another $16,618,000 estimated credit with $83 million in approved spending.[2] As noted on the A Child of Fire page, approved spending typically accounts for about two-thirds of a film's total budget, which indicates the budget for each film is $125 million, however, this is only a loose guess without official confirmation.
Post-production and release[]
The VFX studios from A Child of Fire continued their work for The Scargiver, working back-to-back on the films as the photography before them. Rodeo FX provided the VFX for the warriors' flashback sequences, including General Titus' story from the Battle of Sarawu, Milius' backstory on Meadai, and Tarak's backstory on Samandrai.[4] Scanline VFX did several sequences for the final battle on Veldt, including Jimmy's fight.[5]
Legacy[]
21.4 million people watched The Scargiver in its first three days of release, making it the #1 movie on Netflix for that week. The Scargiver received 740.8 million minutes of views. A Child of Fire was also bumped up into the top ten across all streaming platforms, peaking at #3 but ending at #4 for the week with 200.5 million minutes watched.[6]
